Royal Freight LP is a family-owned, asset-based truckload carrier headquartered in Pharr, Texas. The company provides door-to-door transportation using 53-foot air-ride dry vans throughout the United States and Northern Mexico. It maintains secure facilities in Pharr and Laredo and also has sales representation in Monterrey, Mexico. Royal Freight transports general and specialized freight for domestic and cross-border customers.

In Business Since 2001

Royal Freight was founded in 2001 by Bill “Rooster” Head and his wife, Sheri Head, after they acquired another transportation company. Bill had previously operated Bill Head Trucking, primarily as a refrigerated carrier. Royal Freight expanded under Sheri’s leadership and became a major South Texas transportation company. The company joined the EPA SmartWay program in 2011 to improve freight-transportation efficiency.
